What does scripture mean to you?
Many belief systems claim the Judeo-Christian Bible as their foundational document. True; some of most every walk are changing the meaning by creating their own versions that are far from the Truth of God. God is not surprised by any thing we do. I personally hold to the KJV, the Amplified, and the Darby translations. Why? Because as I've read and prayed these versions God reveals Himself to me. When seeking Gods face in Spirit and in Truth He does reveal Himself undeniably as only He can -- and He promises this very thing in the supernatural thing we read - His word to us -- the Bible.
Take these scriptures and ask God what they really mean (best read in context in the process):
Mark 11:9 And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord:
Mat 21:9 And the multitudes that went before, and thatfollowed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.
Luke 13:35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
Psalm 41:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble
Rev 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
Rev 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Rev 22:7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the saying of the prophecy of this book.
These are supernatural words from God and no one else can reveal what they really deeply mean. We have not because we ask not or we ask amis ... and this assumes we will not ask of someone we do not believe exists. It would also be good to look at this scripture and know that before we ask of God that we have truly prayed the model prayer given us by Christ Jesus -- because we cannot do rightly without God helping us. Sounds circular perhaps but think on it some more -- it is beyond our human understanding if we choose to use only human understanding. We *are* created in the image of God -- spiritual beings. Awake O sleeper there is a whole new world that was and is and is to come. And the gates of hades will not pevail against "us".
